Life without electricity

In an era where nearly every facet of our lives depends on electricity, loadshedding is causing more damage than ever before. For instance, power cuts at the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Karachi are preventing thousands of students from getting official work done in a timely manner as their records are all computerized.

Life without electricity

Our government offices must have a regular power supply, which ensures that the people will not face more hurdles than they already are. There should be ample standby generators to ensure that big departments are not without power for prolonged periods and can work smoothly at all times, particularly the health and education departments.

Loadshedding in residential areas is also a huge problem, especially for students as it prevents them from studying well. Households are paying more for electricity than ever before and are still without power for long periods. No wonder so many young people are desperate to leave Pakistan these days. The government needs to solve this problem on an urgent basis.
