Air operation remains disrupted, 33 more flights cancelled

Five flights landed at alternate airports in the country. The air travelers faced uncertainty throughout the day

KARACHI: Thirty-three flights were cancelled, 55 rescheduled and 15 others faced uncertainty on Friday due to heavy fog in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Five flights landed at alternate airports in the country. The air travelers faced uncertainty throughout the day.

Severe weather conditions caused the cancellation of 183 flights in the last four days. 360 flights were affected or rescheduled because of the presence of dense fog.

According to the airport schedule, Peshawar and Sialkot air passengers are being transported to their destinations by buses.

Five flights from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Muscat landed at alternative airports. Abu Dhabi-Peshawar PK 118 landed at Karachi, Jeddah-Peshawar ER 852 at Islamabad, Muscat-Islamabad PK 292 at Lahore, Dubai-Lahore PK 236 at Islamabad and Abu Dhabi-Sialkot PK 178 landed in Lahore.

According to flight schedule, Peshawar-Dubai PK 283, 284, Doha-Peshawar PK 286, Air Arabia Sharjah-Peshawar G9556, G9557, Karachi-Peshawar 9P865 9P866, ER554, Islamabad-Gilgit PK 601, 602, 605, 606, Sharjah ER 704, Dubai ER 702 Islamabad-Doha PK 287, Dubai PA 210, PK 211 were cancelled.

Karachi-Lahore ER 522, 523, 524, 525, PK 307, Jeddah-Lahore 760, Karachi-Quetta PK 310, 311 Karachi-Islamabad PA 200, 201, ER 502, 503, 505 Ningbo-Karachi YG 9143, 9144 and Muscat-Multan OV 537 were also cancelled.
