CM inaugurates Bait-ul-Maal Portal/App

LAHORE : Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi formally inaugurated the Bait-ul-Maal Portal/App to disburse stipends and assistance amounts on Saturday and put the Bait-ul-Maal Department on the road to innovation after 32 years.

CM Mohsin Naqvi while addressing the inaugural ceremony stated that the deserving and needy will be provided assistance with ease through the Bait-ul-Maal Portal/App.

Transparency will be ensured during the payment to the needy through the Bait-ul-Maal portal/App. The objective to establish Bait-ul-Maal Portal/App is to promote database and paperless working. An application can be submitted for acquiring financial assistance and stipends through the Bait-ul-Maal Portal/App.

Naqvi stated that acquisition of educational stipends and marriage grants can be applied through the Bait-ul-Maal Portal/App. Abled persons and needy can also submit their applications through the Bait-ul-Maal Portal/App. He stated that the deserving and needy people can also apply through the Bait-ul-Maal Portal/App for getting their medical treatment.

Provincial Minister for Specialised Healthcare and Bait-ul-Maal Dr Javed Akram stated that the assistance mechanism will also be made online for the treatment of patients in the hospital.

CM was given a briefing on the Punjab Bait-ul-Maal Portal/App. It was informed during the briefing that the committee will undertake action on applying by the applicant after verification from the concerned district. The applicant will be given payment through the UBL Omni according to the disbursement of available funds.

Provincial Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Bait-ul-Maal Dr Javed Akram, Chief Secretary, Secretaries of Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal, Law, Information, Chairman PITB, Ameen Bait-ul-Maal Punjab, DG PITB and concerned officials participated in the ceremony.

Multi-storeyed apartments will be built for the residence of low ranked government employees and in this regard, Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi laid the foundation stone for the construction of multi-storeyed apartments tower for the residents of low ranked government employees on Saturday.

CM inspected the site of multi-storeyed apartments tower and reviewed construction activities. He was given a briefing with regard to the construction of apartments tower.

CM while addressing the ceremony for laying the foundation stone for the multi-storeyed apartments announced that four multi-storeyed apartments towers will be built for the government employees. New drainage system will be built for the Chauburji Staff Colony along with improving the security system.

Mohsin Naqvi said that four office towers will be built in CBD where government offices will be shifted. Government offices will be shifted in these four towers in addition to the Civil Secretariat. He said that offices established in the rented buildings will be shifted in the CBD tower which will save crores of rupees. Many offices of the Punjab government are established in the rented buildings and the government has to pay rent worth cores of rupees. Work on the CBD tower will be launched after its design being finalised. CM stated that residences from grade 11 to grade 14 of the government employees will be built in the 5-storeyed tower. A tube well chamber and a generator room will also be established in the tower. Fire fighting system and alarms will also be specially installed. An underground water tank will also be established and lift will also be installed. Parking of 30 vehicles, 40 motorcycles will also be provided in every tower.

Naqvi apprised that six apartments will be built on every floor of the tower. He underscored that it is a duty of the government to provide residence to all the deserving government employees. The plight of Punjab Civil Secretariat was highly pathetic and now it has been transformed all together. Civil Secretariat has been greatly beautified and its credit goes to the Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman.

Naqvi informed that the old building of P&D is a mega project on which work is ongoing. A plan has been made to build four apartments towers consisting of six floors for the government employees in Chauburji. The quality of the apartments will be par excellence because this residence project has to be run on a long-term basis. Excellent quality apartments will be built.

CM assured to resolve the problems of water drainage and security in Chaburji as 700 families of government employees are residing over there. Naqvi prayed for the success of the whole team adding that they should be rewarded for their hard work. Additional Chief Secretary also addressed the ceremony.

Provincial Minister for Information Amir Mir, Chief Secretary, ACS, Secretary C&W, CCPO Lahore, Commissioner Lahore, Deputy Commissioner and concerned officials were also present on the occasion.
