Three people were murdered in different places on Wednesday.

The throat-slit body of Mirza Tariq Baig, 50, was found in his Muslim Town residence A-19 situated near the Safoora Chowrangi in the Sachal police limits.

The man’s wife, who in her words was sleeping in another room, found her husband dead in his room in the morning and started crying and shouting, on which her neighbours came into the house.

Attending the crime scene, the police moved the body to a government hospital for legal formalities.

SHO Sachal Rana Haseeb told The News that the deceased was a driver of an executive district officer (EDO) Health and father of six children. He believed the man was killed due to some family dispute.

In another incident, Muhammad Akhter, 60, was shot dead, when unidentified people sprayed bullets on him near his house No-R-1 situated in the Gul Society in Block-9 in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar police area.

Hearing the fire shots, area people rushed to the spot informed the police. A police party shifted the body to the JPMC for a post-mortem, where a medico-legal officer said the deceased had sustained at least five bullets. According to the police, the man was killed due to some personnel enmity.

In a gun attack, private security guard Arbab, 30, was shot dead, when unidentified people targeted him near the Bhori Jamat Khana situated in the Adam Jee Nagar Society in Bahadurabad police jurisdiction.

His body was taken to the JPMC for an autopsy, where a doctor said the man had sustained three bullet injuries. Police said the guard was an employee of TPL Security Company.
