Five labourers killed in Waziristan
WANA: Unidentified armed men killed five labourers and injured a watchman at Daza Ghundai area in Lower South Waziristan district early Friday, local sources said.
The sources said the labourers were working at the under-construction police station building. Unidentified gunmen opened fire on the labourers who were inside a tent, killing them on the spot.
The slain, belonging to the Shakai area, were identified as Rahimullah, Inamullah, Zainullah, Hazratullah and Noor Yasin. The injured watchman, identified as Amanullah, was taken to the District Headquarters Hospital in Wana. The motive behind the killing could not be known.
District Police Officer Farmanullah said an FIR had been registered against the unidentified accused. He said that a copy of the FIR was forwarded to the Counter-Terrorism-Department and the police, which were jointly conducting the investigation.
