Briefing arranged on Khushhal KP Programme

PESHAWAR: A meeting of the Secretaries Committee was convened here on Wednesday, chaired by Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Additional chief secretary, the additional inspector general of police, and administrative secretaries. District Deputy Commissioners participated via video link, said a handout.

The meeting focused on a comprehensive briefing about the Khushhal Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Programme.

Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary said that this programme aims to enhance services to the people, prioritizing economic development and ensuring law and order in the province.

He said the agenda prominently includes enhancing governance and public service delivery systems.

Tailored IT courses will be offered to align with global market demands, enabling youth to secure employment opportunities overseas, fostering global market integration and local job prospects, he added.

The programme aims to send up to 500,000 youth abroad for employment within one year.

Preparations for the upcoming general elections were also reviewed, with the provincial government reaffirming its commitment to transparent, free, and fair elections.

The chief secretary emphasized the need for thorough measures to finalize arrangements. Additionally, proposals to bolster investment and development in the tourism sector were deliberated upon.
