Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa has taken a commendable step by directing the auction of two high-end vehicles allocated for his use. He termed the allocation as an “inappropriate splurge of scarce public resources” and directed the proceeds from the auction be utilized for much-needed public transportation.

The CJP recognizes the significance of public funds and has set an example by opting against extravagance. His redirecting resources for public benefit sends a positive message. It is a reminder that public officials should ensure public funds are utilized for the greater good.
