Action against illegal manufacturing of motorbike rickshaws ordered

LAHORE:The Department of Transport has directed Regional Transport Authorities (RTAs) to take strict action against those involved in the illegal manufacturing of motorbike rickshaws.
Transport Secretary Dr Ahmad Javaid Qazi clarified that there were no legal restrictions on the buying and selling of motorbike rickshaws. In response, the Department of Transport has shut down 77 workshops engaged in the illegal production of motorbike rickshaws. Legal proceedings have been initiated against individuals involved in this unauthorised activity. Secretary stated that policy measures regarding individuals operating illegally manufactured motorbike rickshaws are in the approval stages.
