ISLAMABAD: An accountability court (AC) Monday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Mirza Shahzad Akbar, others in £190 million NCA case. Judge Muhammad Bashir presided over the proceedings and issued a written order.
Warrants were also issued for Ziaul Mustafa Naseem, former minister Zulfi Bukhari, Ahmed Ali Riaz, and Farhat Shehzadi alias Farah Gogi.
Imran was not produced in the court established in the Adiala Jail as per the written order. The jail superintendent will produce him in the court in the next hearing on December 6. The judge said the court registrar had completely scrutinised the scam and approved the reference for trial. According to a notification of the Ministry of Law, the trial will be conducted in the jail.
