Couple dies in bike, tractor-trolley collision

LAHORE : A couple died after their bike hit a tractor-trolley on Multan Road near Thokar Bypass on Saturday. The deceased persons were identified as Firdous Bibi 50 and Manzoor 55. The victims reportedly were riding a bike and going somewhere. As they reached opposite Jinnah Bus Terminal, their bike collided with a tractor trolley and the victims received serious injuries and died. Police removed the bodies to morgue and were investigating the matter further.

3 people dies in different incidents

Three people have died in different parts of the city on Saturday. The first case was reported in Data Darbar where a 52-year-old security guard of a bank died under suspicious circumstances. The victim was on his duty when his condition deteriorated and he suddenly fell down and died. His body has been moved to morgue. In another incident reported in Shalimar, a 65-year-old man Rafiq Shah, a Mansehra resident, suddenly died while offering prayer.

The third incident was reported in Chung on Multan Road where a 16-year-old girl died after a speeding truck ran over her.

Three bike lifters arrested

Shahdara Police have arrested three members of a bike lifting gang. The arrested suspects were identified as Taimoor, Raheel and Ghulam Mustafa. Police also recovered laptop, watches, four motorbikes, illegal weapon and cash from their custody. The suspects have confessed of committing various bids in the different parts of the city. They would also harass the citizens on gunpoint.

Missing girl reunited with her mother

The Safe City 15 Centre promptly responded to an emergency call reporting the disappearance of an 8-year-old mentally abnormal girl named Mehak Khan in the Township area here on Saturday. A responsible citizen found the missing girl and promptly reported her to the Emergency 15 Centre.

The Safe City team, upon receiving the information, immediately directed the Township police which acted promptly, taking custody of the missing girl. The police then successfully identified the mother and reunited her with her daughter.
