DAGGAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Parliamentarians (PTIP) leader Pervez Khattak on Saturday said that former prime minister Imran Khan was an arrogant person, who wanted to pit the nation against the army.

Addressing a gathering in Buner district, he said Imran Khan’s behaviour with the elected representatives was like a pharaoh. A large number of PTIP workers were present on this occasion. Several political workers including known political figures Hashtmand Khan, Zafar Khan, Salahuddin Khan and others announced joining the PTIP along with family members.

Pervez Khattak said he believed in serving the people. He added that the corrupt politicians looted the country in the past due to which the poor people were bearing the brunt of their wrong policies. The former chief minister said that the ones, who did not even know the basics of politics, were criticizing him. He said that Naya Pakistan was a drama and Imran Khan was a dictator.

PTIP leader Mahmood Khan also addressed the gathering.

Our correspondent from Timergara adds: In contrast to the expectations of political and public circles in Lower Dir district, the first-ever power show by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarian (PTIP) on the soil of Lower Dir could be termed a success, with a large number of political workers surprising everyone by turning up at the venue.

Pakistan People’s Party leader and former provincial minister Muzaffar Syed advocate, along with former caretaker minister Malik Shafiullah, Brigadier (r) Saeedullah Khan, former district councillors Hakim Khan of the JI and Syed Alam Shah of PTI, PPP village council chairman Shahab Utmani, Murad Khan of JI, Barrister Aurangzeb Khan of PPP, Haji Nazir Khan of the ANP, and several other political workers announced joining the PTIP.

Muzafar Syed advocate, a leader of Jamaat-i-Islami, joined the PPP on November 16, 2020, after his defeat in the 2018 general elections, during which some influential figures of JI opposed him.
