Overpopulation

According to the most recent census, our population stands at almost 250 million people and our fertility rate is more than three per cent which is 150 per cent more than the world average. While some measures to tackle overpopulation have been implemented, they have not succeeded.

We must take more urgent steps to prevent overpopulation. Spreading awareness of contraception and family planning through education and awareness campaigns, especially in the rural areas and among women, could prove vital to solving this problem.
