ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi and Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Maliki are likely to hold a meeting with PMLN supremo Nawaz Sharif in a couple of days.
Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi had a meeting with caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar on Monday. It would be the envoy’s first interaction with Nawaz Sharif after the latter’s return from exile on October 21.
Well-placed sources told ‘The News’ that UAE during Ambassador’s Hamad meeting with Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Shahbaz Sharif are also expected to be present.
Ambassador Hamad extended to the prime minister an invitation for attending the COP-28 being held in Dubai towards the end of the month. It is expected that Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar would reach Dubai on Nov 29th.
Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Maliki, who also met the caretaker prime minister on Monday, is also likely to hold a meeting with PMLN supremo Nawaz Sharif in a couple of days.
The sources said that the meetings with both the ambassador of friendly countries are being arranged by the missions and office of the PML-N supremo.
US Ambassador Donald Blome and British High Commissioner Jane separately met Nawaz Sharif in Lahore last week.
