Pak officials warn of stage-managed terrorist attack in India

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani security establishment, in the post Gulbashan Yadav arrest scenario, is strongly anticipating an Indian stage managed terrorist activity anytime soon. 

Authoritative sources who did not wish to be identified here on Friday warned of another false flag operation in India by the Indian intelligence agency with the aim of drawing global attention and reducing the impact of the RAW agent/ terrorist’s arrest. “The Indians have developed some expertise in such false flag operations, which they are mounting to put the blame on Pakistan.”

The sources said that recently India had planned a false flag operation in Surat, Gujarat. However, Pakistan had thwarted the Indian plan. The sources, while commenting on the Pathankot attack, revealed that despite the Pakistani JIT’s visit to India, the team had not been provided with the DNA verification and samples of the four attackers killed during the operation. “India has not given the Black Corner Notice to Pakistan used for international identification of a ghost dead body,” the sources said.

The sources said that the investigation against Maulana Masood Azhar or any other citizen of Pakistan could not be initiated merely on the Indian desires. Also, the Counter Terrorism department had been stopped by the interior ministry from investigating the Pathankot attack case till India provides concrete evidence in this regard.

According to the Ministry of Interior sources, Pakistan has strongly protested over the Indian National Investigation Agency’s contact with the Interpol on the Pathankot issue. The National Security Adviser, Lt General (retd) Nasir Janjua, has been asked to contact the Interpol and inform them that India had not provided the evidences that were demanded by the Pakistani investigation team.

Meanwhile, the Indian media has reported that Indian NSA Ajit Doval had contacted Lt General (retd) Janjua and discussed an Indian investigation team’s visit to Pakistan besides the statement of the Pakistani High Commissioner to New Delhi Abdul Basit. Janjua told Doval that Pakistan desired to continue the peace process with India.

Earlier, Pak HC Abdul Basit had told the Indian media that there was no chance of an Indian investigation team’s visit to Pakistan and that the Pak-India peace process was at the moment suspended. He had said that Pakistan knows who is destabilizing the country by creating a law and order situation while Yadav’s arrest supported the Pakistan's stance. He had also reiterated that the Kashmir issue was the root cause of all the problems.
