Hoti vows to resist conspiracies against ANP
ALPURI: Awami National party leader and former chief minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti said on Wednesday that those should be held accountable, who had looted Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during their rule.
“Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Parliamentarians leaders Pervez Khattak and Mahmood Khan used to heap praise on former prime minister Imran Khan for his honesty and fairness when they were chief ministers but now cursing him for his corruption and slogans of so-called change and Naya Pakistan,” he said while addressing workers’ convention in PK-28 in Shangla.
Hoti said that the former two chief ministers must be held accountable for their loot and plunder and burdening the province with unprecedented loans while completing not a single mega project during their nine years government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said that all the dummy leaders, who had come into power through the backdoors, had been exposed and the masses would soon witness the startling revelations of their rampant corruption and embezzlement.
“The province is under Rs1,000 billion due to the mismanagement of two chief ministers but the looters were scot free after a press conference, which is not acceptable to us,” the ANP leader said, adding that his party wanted an impartial accountability.
He said that hurdles were created to the ANP candidates and level playing field was not provided to the party during 2013 elections and the province was handed over to incapable leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf now PTIP.
He said that a new conspiracy had been hatched by forming PTIP and pitting its so-called leaders against the leaders of true democratic parties in the province.
In 2018 elections, he alleged that the PTI was again selected to reign the KP and Centre with the help of collapsing result transmission system (RTS) but this time, the ANP would not allow anyone to steal the people’s mandate.
“We are not ready to accept any drama with the people and their right of franchise and we will go to everyone to ensure fair and transparent elections slated for February 8, 2024,” the nationalist leader said, adding that they would launch mega projects in Shangla, including expressway and others to bring development and prosperity in the hitherto neglected areas.Hoti said that they would establish a university in each district and provide free quality education to the youths to make them useful citizens of the society.
