WANA: A meeting between the Tehsil Alliance elders and officials of the district administration discussed various issues related to the vaccination of children and refusal cases in the area.
The meeting was attended by Lower South Waziristan Deputy Commissioner Nasir Khan Additional Deputy Commissioner Kashmir Khan Sherani, Additional Assistant Commissioner Inamullah Khan, Tehsil Mayor Moulana Saleh Wazirand other officials.
The objective of the event was to sensitise the tehsildars/political moharrirs about demand-based refusal coverage and to engage boycotted communities during the polio NID commencing from November 20, 2023.
The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Tehsil Mayor Maulana Saleh Wazir. In his opening remarks, he welcomed all the participants.Dr Shahid, the district polio focal person, addressed the forum, highlighting the importance of routine immunisation and polio vaccination for every child.Deputy Commissioner Nasir Khan offered the concluding remarks, appreciating the revenue department’s efforts in the successful implementation of polio campaigns.
