Overcrowded buses
I am a teacher by profession, but a student as well, pursuing my BEd degree from the University of Sindh. On numerous occasions, I have experienced the disastrous consequences of buses being packed beyond their capacity. Passengers are crammed in the aisles, causing extreme discomfort and sometimes leading to suffocation due to the lack of proper ventilation. The overcrowding poses a serious safety risk. It is evident that bus conductors, in their pursuit of maximizing revenue, tend to overlook the safety and wellbeing of passengers. This blatant disregard for passenger safety must be addressed urgently.
It is crucial that the authorities concerned take immediate action to address this issue. This might involve stricter enforcement of passenger capacity regulations, regular monitoring of bus services, and educating bus conductors about the importance of adhering to safety regulations.
