Seminary teachers and students imparted training
PESHAWAR: A five-day training was arranged for the teachers and students of seminaries at the Manki Sharif town of the Nowshera district.
Jamia Ameenia Ghafooria Astana Qadriya Manki Sharif hosted the training under the auspices of the Department of Religious Affairs, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The teachers and students were trained in personality development, social empowerment, job guidance, effective expression, entrepreneurship, inter-religious harmony, citizenship and personal responsibilities.
The right to serve and vote, respecting differences and finding commonalities, use of technology and other topics were also under discussion.
A simple ceremony was organized on the last day of the programme. Maulana Yusuf Shah, chairman of the Muttahida Ulema Board, KP, was the chief guest.
Dr. Abdul Nasir, the provincial president of Tanzeem Madaris Pakistan , Pirzada Dr. Junaid, a member of the Islamic Ideological Council of Pakistan, Pirzada Muhammad Waqas, patron of Jamia Ameenia Ghafooria, Mian Asjad, Monitoring Officer of Auqaf and Religious Affairs. Sahibzada Haider Jan, Planning Officer, and other guests, teachers and students were present.
The speakers highlighted the various aspects of the programme and said that the importance of contemporary and modern technology along with religious studies cannot be ignored. They hoped such programmes would help the students of madaris in practical life.
The religious scholars emphasized the importance of vaccination, immunization and population discipline in the light of the guidelines of the Islamic Ideological Council. Sahibzada Haider Jan said the KP government was taking steps to make the students of religious seminaries productive citizens and increase the capacity of students.
Mian Asjad said the Department of Religious Affairs was trying to provide scholarships and other facilities to students of the madaris.
