PM for Sitara-i-Shujaat, Tamgha-i-Shujaat for APS martyrs
Sends advice to president for approval

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday advised President Mamnoon Hussain to approve the conferment of Sitara-i-Shujaat (Posthumous) and Tamgha-i-Shujaat (Posthumous) on the martyred teachers, students and other staff of the Army Public School (APS), Peshawar, respectively.
The decision has been taken to pay homage to the 122 students, two teachers and 20 staff members of the school who were martyred in a terrorist attack on December 16, 2014.Meanwhile, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Rashad Mahmood called on the prime minister at the PM House. Professional matters related to the armed forces and the overall national security situation came under discussion. Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif, Minister for Finance Muhammad Ishaq Dar and DG Strategic Plans Division (SPD) were also present during the meeting.
