ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Jahangir Tareen said on Saturday that a decision on whether or not to return to the National Assembly would be taken by the core committee.
In a statement here, he said that if required, the meeting of the core committee could be summoned within 24 hours. He maintained that without the support of the PPP, the 22nd Constitutional Amendment could not be passed in parliament, and urged both the PPP and the JUI-F not to oppose the proposed piece of legislation. Tareen made it clear that if any of the PTI’s lawmakers was found involved in horse-trading, he would be thrown out of the party.
