Safe CDA?
A lot is going on in federal capital to make it safe. In this connection, the authorities concerned are fixing state-of-the-art cameras on the roads which offer many facilities for road users. It is, however, unfortunate that the safety of road users and citizens in the eyes of the administration lies in fancy gadgetry with presumably many opportunities for kickbacks.
A very simple and basic remedy lies in repairing roads to make them safe. For instance, has any officer from the CDA gone on IJP Road, Fakir Ippi Road leading to the Sabzi Mandi or travelled on the Service Road East in sectors F-11, G-11 or Margalla Road that have developed huge potholes? Why are Sector F-10’s perfectly good roads being carpeted while these roads have been neglected? Perhaps the sleuths of NAB may like to take a peek in the working of the CDA road department.
