Punjab Food Authority (PFA) continued its drive against adulterated and spurious milk by checking the commodity at sale and entry points of the provincial metropolis Wednesday.
PFA officials said field teams checked 103 milk carrying vehicles at various entry points of Lahore out of which adulterated and spurious milk was found in 13 vehicles. The teams confiscated 7,059 litres of milk and destroyed it. Samples were sent to a laboratory. Vehicles carrying spurious milk were taken in custody.
The teams checked milk of various shops and sealed several milk shops across the city. PFA’s team checked Sadaqat Bong Paye in Aziz Bhatti Town and issued warning for violations.
