LONDON: Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan held a meeting with UnitedKingdom’s National Security Adviser Sir Kim Darroch here on Monday at 10 DowningStreet and discussed matters of mutual concerns.
During the meeting, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar said Pakistan and UK had always enjoyed warm and cordial relations but these relations attained a new level during the tenure of present governments in UK and Pakistan.He said the UK should serve as a bridge between the East and the West in order to bring about unity in the face of the fight against extremism and militancy.
Interior Minister said Pakistan feels there must be a stronger and more aggressive global response against the efforts of certain vested interests to target and humiliate Islam.Kim Darroch said the UK attached great importance to its relations with Pakistan and the two countries share commonality of views and objectives on many global issues.
