SWABI: Speakers at concluding session of a three-day conference here on Sunday said that Pakistan has great potential to produce energy for meeting its requirement, provided that the available resources were used in a result-oriented way by the government.
Funded by Higher Education Commission, the “International Conference on Next Generation Energy Technologies (ICONGET 2016) and Workshop on Solar Cell Characterisation Technology” was organised by Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology and South Dakota State University (SDSU) under Pak-US Project. Prof Dr Muhammad Hassan Sayyad, the conference president, said that it was a joint venture of GIK Institute and SDSU. Among more than 200 scholars, there were over 50 PhDs from across Pakistan.
