Assuring minorities

The ghastly terrorist incident in Lahore is an indication that we lack adequate security measures to protect people. We have not done enough to eradicate the hideouts and breeding grounds of militants.

Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park was a soft target. As Christians lost their lives in Sunday’s attack, the government should do all to assure them their constitutional right of freedom of faith. We must not let terrorists silence the minority communities living in our country.
