Chinese team visits Nust

A four-member China World Peace Foundation delegation headed by Xu Jianguo called on Dr. Ashfaque Hasan Khan, Dean of the School of Social Sciences & Humanities, Nust, Islamabad.
The delegation informed that the main objective of their visit to Pakistan was to explore investment opportunities and strengthen people to people relations.
In this connection, they attended the Pak-China Business Conference in Lahore. They also held meetings with the representatives of the federal government in Islamabad.
The dean welcomed the delegation and appreciated their growing interest in Pakistan’s economic development. He also informed them on the establishment of Chinese Studies Centre for promoting multi- disciplinary knowledge and research about China.
The delegation was briefed by Ambassador (r) Syed Hasan Javed, Director of CSC on its core functions of the centre. The two sides agreed to promote mutual exchange of ideas and visits by experts.
