Napa to stage ‘Khoya Hua Aadmi’ from March 4
Karachi
The National Academy of Performing Arts (Napa) will be staging Khoya Hua Aadmi from March 4 to March 13, announced Khalid Ahmed, who would be directing the play that was penned by the late Kamal Ahmed Rizvi.
Set to be staged at the academy, the play is a reflection of the centrifugal forces which smite the lives of middle class families, materially and emotionally.
Khoya Hua Aadmi revolves around a middle-aged couple who appears to be living a contended life. However after a series of unfortunate events in a frightening sequence, from husband and wife losing their jobs, getting robbed and husband losing his mind, the family goes through travails.
Amidst this, the play also throws light on those individuals in the form of relatives who help the couple in their turbulent times.
The play which has been staged in Karachi under a different direction some years ago was also aired on PTV and starred Khalida Riyasat and Kamal Ahmed Rizvi.
Following this play, NAPA will also be holding its annual Theatre and Music Festival from March 20 onward.
