Morgan Wallen's Pittsburgh show cancelled: 'There is no choice'
Morgan Wallen announces cancellation of his show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Morgan Wallen has announced the cancellation of his sophomore show in Pittsburgh after the on-stage piano-flipping moment.
On Saturday, June 6, the 33-year-old American country and country pop singer from Sneedville, Tennessee, took to his Instagram Stories to announce that he has called off his second concert in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, due to unfavourable weather conditions.
He wrote, “After talking with local officials and my team, there is no choice but to cancel tonight’s show due to severe adverse weather conditions expected throughout the rest of the day and night.”
“Safety for my fans and crew is the highest priority,” he noted.
The Thought You Should Know crooner went on to inform his fans that “refunds available at point of purchase.”
In a chat with local outlet TribLive, WTAE meteorologist Jill Szwed forecast “scattered thunderstorms” in the area.
Notably, this unfortunate news came a week after Wallen flipped his piano on stage in frustration as he was facing technical issues during his performance of Sand in My Boots at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver on Friday, May 29.
It is pertinent to mention that this incident happened after Morgan Wallen struggled to hear through his earpiece and decided to sing it a capella.
