Taylor Swift has achieved another milestone with her new Toy Story 5 song.

On Friday, June 5, the 36-year-old American singer-songwriter released the song I Knew It, I Knew You, which was well-received by fans, as it broke some release-day records with the harmonica-and-banjo-infused country track just hours after it came out.

Spotify stated that Swift’s song has become “the most-streamed country song in a single day by a female artist in Spotify history.”

In addition, it turned out to be Apple Music’s “biggest country single of 2026” and broke the “all-time record for the biggest soundtrack single, based on first-day plays.”

Whereas Amazon Music I Knew It, I Knew You is “the biggest first 24-hour streaming debut globally for any song” in 2026.

Notably, Swift released the song after building anticipation regarding her involvement in Toy Story 5 with many Easter eggs and on June 1, she confirmed that she had created the film’s soundtrack on her social media.

Travis Kelce’s fiancée penned, “I've always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I've adored since I was a 5 year old kid watching the first Toy Story movie.”

“I fell instantly in love with Toy Story 5 when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening. Sometimes you just know, right?” Taylor Swift revealed.

It is pertinent to mention that Toy Story 5 is scheduled to open in theaters on June 19, 2026.
