City that embraced Kate Middleton bans Kanye West

The northern Italian city of Reggio Emilia, which recently welcomed Britain's Kate Middleton , during her first foreign visit since undergoing cancer treatment, has taken a sharply different turn in the spotlight.
According to Reuters news agency, authorities on Saturday banned two concerts involving US rappers Kanye West and Travis Scott, scheduled for July, citing concerns raised by local officials and residents.
The local prefect, Salvatore Angieri, ordered the cancellation because of concerns over public order and security, including the potential for protests.
West, also known as Ye, has faced a wave of cancellations across Europe this summer following years of antisemitic remarks, including statements praising Adolf Hitler and the release of content using Nazi imagery.
Earlier this month, the Princess of Wales visited Reggio Emilia, a trip that marked a major milestone for The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood as the charitable organization of the princess and her husband, Prince William, expanded its reach abroad.
