Parineeti Chopra says it's 'privilege' to be part of Imtiaz Ali's 'Chamkila

Parineeti Chopra said it is a privilege to be a part of Imtiaz Ali's Amar Singh Chamkila, a film based on true story.

It is pertinent to mention here that the upcoming film is a biopic based on the renowned Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila and his wife Amarjot.

The character of Amar is played by Diljit Dosanjh, whereas Parineeti is featured as Amarjot in the movie. 

On April 4, the Bollywood actress took to Instagram and dropped a heartfelt video, featuring real-reel life Amar Singh Chamkila and his wife.

Parineeti wrote, "Diljit and I had the privilege of playing the role of two legends who changed the music landscape in India… recreating their famous images in the film and seeing them again today gives me goosebumps."

She added, "Cannot wait to share the world of Chamkila with everyone. Wouldn’t have been the same without my jodidaar [partner] @diljitdosanjh!."

The movie is set to stream on Netflix from April 12.
