Jennifer Coolidge has come to the defense of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce following criticism from animal rights organization PETA over their recent visit to Sydney Zoo.
The popstar and her NFL boyfriend enjoyed a date at the 16.5-hectare site last week, where they were photographed petting a kangaroo.
PETA released a statement suggesting that the couple should opt for visits to "true sanctuaries" instead.
However, Coolidge has offered her support to the couple, suggesting that they likely didn't put much thought into the outing and were simply seeking a romantic activity.
"I love Taylor and they seem like animal lovers so I can't condemn those guys I love them," the 62-year-old actress remarked to TMZ.
Debbie Metzler, the Foundation's Director of Captive Animal Welfare, expressed disappointment regarding the recent sighting of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at Sydney Zoo.
Metzler emphasized that while the allure of Australia's wildlife is understandable, the organization hopes the couple will opt for visits to genuine sanctuaries in the future.
