Reportedly, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has decided to shift some of its branches to Lahore. A spokesperson from the KCCI opposed this move stating that it will cause unnecessary difficulties and burden on companies as Karachi is the financial and industrial hub of the country.
A lot of problems were created when the official capital of the country shifted from Karachi to Islamabad as the city was the centre of all economic activity. The prime minister is requested to reconsider the decision of moving the branches of the SBP to Lahore.
