Attock Refinery Limited (ARL) has announced its quarter net profit of Rs697 million amid a decline in cost of sales.
In its condensed interim consolidated profit and loss account information released to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Wednesday, ARL announced a net profit of Rs697.59 million for the quarter ended September 30 as compared to the net losses of Rs182.35 million in the corresponding period of the last year. It also announced earnings per share (EPS) at Rs8.17 against the loss per share (LPS) of Rs2.14 last year.
Gross sales of the company were recorded at Rs27.87 billion, down 6.5 percent as compared to Rs29.82 billion in the corresponding period of the last year, whereas cost of sales declined to Rs20.69 billion against Rs21.64 billion. Other income of the company slightly rose to Rs248.46 million from Rs242.63 million in the same period of the last year.
