3-day Jashn-e-Baharan festival from March 10

TOBA TEK SINGH: A three-day Jashn-e-Baharan festival will start here from March 10 in sports stadium.

ADC Zeeshan Shabbir Rana announced this presiding over a meeting. The ADC was briefed that at tehsil level contests of hockey, football, Kabaddi, table tennis and children tableaus will be held, and at district level competitions of horse and cattle show, tent pegging, recital and flower show will be arranged.

EDOs Finance, Agriculture, and Education and deputy director colleges Mian Arshad Iqbal also attended the meeting.

FAREWELL: A farewell was arranged in the honour of chief engineer Hanif Khalid Bhatti on his retirement by Irrigation Department workers.

Irrigation provincial secretary Yusuf Anjum lauded services of Bhatti. The department’s union leader Attiqur Rehman Khan said Bhatti would be remembered for creating good ties between union office bearers and department’s officials. Irrigation additional secretary Naeem Ghous, chief engineers Waqar Waraich and Zahid Khan, SE Aslam Tabassum, Nandipur project research engineer Ghulam Qadir, Allah Bakhsh Sial, Shafiq Khan and Amin Saqi also spoke.
