PML-N promoting transparency, says CM

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said Pakistan Muslim League-N government has promoted transparency and high standard in the execution of development projects and funds of billions of rupees have been saved through this policy. 

He said selfless service to the people was a mission of the government and a number of public welfare projects were being implemented speedily. 

He said it was the agenda of the PML-N government to bring deprived segments into mainstream of development and all possible measures were being taken for this purpose. Shahbaz said national resources were a trust of the people, which were being spent only on the provision of basic amenities to the masses. He said under the policy of balanced development, mega projects were being completed in the backward areas expeditiously.

He was talking to MNA Raza Hayat Haraj who met him on Friday. The chief minister said people of the province were fully benefiting from the projects completed in education, health, infrastructure and social sector. He said transparency, standard and speed in the execution of projects were the hallmark of the PML-N government. He said billions of rupees were being spent on the welfare of masses and provision of education, health and basic facilities.

He said aim of the progress and prosperity of the country would be achieved through adopting golden principle of honesty, trust and hard-work. He said transparency, merit and good governance had been promoted in the province and there was no other example of completion of projects with transparency from their start to completion in the history of the country. He said sincere efforts of the government to resolve problems of the country were yielding positive results and the day was not far when Pakistan would overcome all its crises. 

The chief minister said China was making investment of 36 billion dollars in energy projects under the CPEC project and power projects were being set up in all the four provinces.

He said due to completion of these projects by 2017, thousands of megawatt electricity would be added to the national grid which would help control loadshedding. He said elements opposing public welfare projects were the enemies of progress and prosperity of the country. The chief minister said those who criticised metro bus project were rejected by the people in general elections of 2013 and Local Governmet elections as well.
