TOBA TEK SINGH: Gojra DSP Atif Imran Qureshi on Thursday sealed 16 schools for poor security arrangements. They included nine in Gojra, three in Nawan Lahore and four in different villages. The DSP said that the schools would be reopened if the security arrangements were improved in rechecking on January 31.
Meanwhile, DCO Amir Ijaz Akbar visited different educational institutions. During his visit to the Government Women College and the Government Municipal Degree College, he directed the college administrations to cut the bushes around the boundary walls and use metal detectors for body search of all entrants.
On the other hand, Pirmahal Assistant Commissioner Hafiz Muhammad Najib sealed 12 government and primary schools for the same reason. He also issued notices to those colleges and schools where there were weak security arrangements.
