PESHAWAR: Different groups of students and faculty members belonging to Edward School and College, Islamia College, Spin Jamat and Darwesh Mosque Madrassa spent a day with the Pakistan Army troops.
The day long programme was specifically organised for students to sensitise them on security and spend time with soldiers on posts. The programme started with wreath laying ceremony at Yadgar-e-Shuhada followed by a visit to Aza Khel Dam post where they met the soldiers guarding the suburbs of Peshawar against any militant’s threat to the city said a press release issued here Sunday.
The students also visited arms and equipment stalls and participated in small arms fire. The day long programme culminated with thrilling boating experience at the dam.
The students interacted closely with the troops and officers taking keen interest in the programme.
