LAHORE
Justice Shahid Karim of Lahore High Court Wednesday issued a notice to Punjab secretary education on a petition moved by a girl student challenging 12 years age restriction for the students appearing in 9th class examinations.
The judge ordered to the secretary to file a detailed reply to the petition till May6 (today).
Petitioner Raeesa Hafeez’s counsel said the Lahore board was not allowing her to appear in the examination as her age was less than 12 years. He said the restriction was unjust and violation of the Constitution as no one could be deprived of education.
