Rashakai: One policeman, three attackers killed

NOWSHERA: A cop was killed while three more police personnel were injured in a hand grenade assault on Police vehicle in Nowshera on Saturday. Three attackers were also killed in a counter attack, Geo News reported.


According to Nowshera District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Hussain, police mobile was on routine patrolling in Peshawar-Islamabad motorway where unidentified assailants riding motorbikes attacked on it with hand grenade and bullets near Rashakai area of Colonel Sher Khan Interchange.


The injured policemen retaliated the assault and managed to kill three terrorists while 2 Kalashnikovs, 2 pistols and a hand grenade were also recovered from their possession, DPO added.


According to police sources, a terrorist among three dead was identified as Saddam Hussain who is pronounced as resident of Kurram Agency.
