KARACHI: At least five suspected militants including an activist of outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were apprehended here on Thursday, Geo News reported.
Talking to media here at Police Headquarters, SSP Crime Investigation Department (CID), Chaudhry Aslam, said the cops nabbed the terrorists in the precincts of Docks Police Station.
“Police have also recovered five hand grenades, two AK-47s, handguns, and narcotics”, said Aslam.
According to SSP CID, the suspects were involved in at least 30 counts of murder, attempted murder, target-killing, attacks on the officers of law, and extortion in Karachi.
He also informed media that one of the suspects, Anwar Khan Mehsud, had affiliations with Wali-ur-Rahman group of TTP.
“He was an active fundraiser for the banned militant outfit”, said he.
