Govt fails to honour election pledges, says ANP leader
PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) parliamentary leader in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Sardar Hussain Babak on Sunday said that the government had not honoured its electoral pledges made with the masses.
Through a statement issued here on Sunday, he criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for pushing the province towards backwardness. He said Chief Minister Pervez Khattak had lost the public trust and would not deceive Pakhtuns through hollow slogans.
He said the opposition had not taken any decision on the deputy speaker while the government could not bring its own candidate due to lack of strength in the KP Assembly.
Sardar Hussain Babak said that PTI had been involved in corruption in the Bus Rapid Transit, mines and mineral, health, education, forestry and other sectors.
He alleged that the sources of revenue of the province had been privatised.
