Shujaat says no objection on Mukhtar

ISLAMABAD: PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said his party has no objection on nomination of Ch Ahmed Mukhtar as prime minister, Geo News reported.

 

While talking to Geo News, the PML-Q leader said the allied parties have empowered President Asif Ali Zardari to make the decision in this regard.

 

Following the disqualification of Yusuf Raza Gilani by the Supreme Court on Tuesday afternoon, the ruling coalition met here at the Presidency in an emergent meeting to discuss the pros and cons of the Supreme Court's decision to disqualify Gilani as the prime minister and MNA. President Asif Ali Zardari chaired the meeting.

 

The final name for the leader of the house will be announced in today's parliamentary party meeting of the PPP.
