PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) provincial chief Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan has asked president of Pakistan to issue order of merging Fata into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and giving representation to the tribal areas in the provincial assembly.

Talking to reporters at Markaz-e-Islami here on Tuesday, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan said after the presidential order on merger of Fata into KP, he would move the court against the FCR. He asked the authorities to provide basic human rights to the people of Fata and announce Rs1000 billion package for the uplift of the neglected areas.

Mushtaq Ahmad Khan also welcomed the approval of extension of judiciary to the tribal areas. The JI KP head asked for reducing the number of checkposts in Fata and KP and deploying Pashto-speaking male and female officials there. Those deployed at these checkposts must be polite and should not bother Pashtuns, he added. Mushtaq Ahmad also asked for releasing innocent people and conducting a trial against those involved in anything wrong.
