NOWSHERA: Several activists of Awami National Party (ANP) on Thursday quit the party and joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the district.
Member Cantonment Board Risalpur belonging to the ANP Pir Aslam along with his supporters, friends and family members announced joining the PTI in a ceremony held here.
District Nazim Liaqat Khattak and other PTI members were present and welcomed the new entrants to the party.
The new comers reposed full confidence in the leadership of PTI chief Imran Khan and Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and vowed to work hard to strengthen the party in the district.
Liaqat Khattak said that people were joining the PTI in droves and hoped his party would emerge victorious in the upcoming general election.
