LAHORE: Indian MP and former secretary general in United Nations Shashi Tharoor said there should be no war between Pakistan and India and people of both the countries want peace, Geo News reported Tuesday.

Tharoor was speaking to Geo News after arriving in Lahore with his wife Sunanda Pushkar. He favoured direct trade between Pakistan and India as indirect trade increases tax rates.

Sunanda Pushkar told that she is Kashmiri and hails from Lahore while she intends to show her husband the historical places in the city.

we want peace and serenity in the region.pakistan and india need to have cooperation in all different technological and scintific inventions as well as discoveries to move ahead in the world. even we think that the partition plan was the worst cruelty ever done to the indians and to the pakistanis in particular. today we are being ruled by uneducated, senseless and barbaric kind of political and religious feuds.
