BoG promotes 10 KTH doctors

PESHAWAR: The Board of Governors (BoG) of the Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) on Saturday approved the appointment of nursing director and promotions of 10 doctors to the rank of professor and associate professor.

?The BoG held its 12th meeting with its chairman Dr Faisal Sultan in the chair.

KTH Medical Director Dr Roohul Muqim, Hospital Director Brig (Retd) Dr Fazle Akbar and other members of the board also attended the meeting.

?The BoG approved the selection of Rahmatullah as nursing director MTI-KTH. He is a PhD scholar at a US university, MSc nursing and a gold medallist. He did his BSc Nursing in 2002 with 1st division from Karachi.

The BoG also approved the promotion of 10 doctors.

Dr Hamza Khan was promoted to professor medicine, KTH and KMC.

Dr Zakirullah was promoted to the post of professor of ENT KTH/ KMC, Dr Naila Hamid was promoted to the post of associate professor Physiology KMC,? Dr Mohammad Zahid was promoted to the rank of associate professor KMC.

Dr Zahid Shah was promoted to associate professor KMC.

The BoG approved the long-awaited promotions of Dr Muslim Khan (BPS-19) from acting charge basis of associate professor to regular associate professor at the Khyber College of Dentistry (KCD) and Dr Akbar Khalil to associate professor Prosthodontics KCD.

Dr Kalsoom Nawab was promoted from the post of senior registrar Radiology to assistant professor KTH/KMC, Dr Inamullah was promoted to assistant professor medicine, Dr Neelum Noreen was promoted to assistant professor Anaesthesia KTH/KMC.
