PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police Nasir Khan Durrani has directed sub-divisional police officers (SDPOs) to launch a result-oriented campaign against the proclaimed offenders.
According to a Police Department handout, the IGP issued the directives while chairing a conference of SDPOs across drawn from across the province at the Central Police Office (CPO) here on Wednesday.
Deputy Inspector General (Headquarters) Muhammad Alam Shinwari updated the participants about the recently-introduced police reforms, force working, establishment of new training centers and specialised police schools, policing with modern technology, three security acts and achievements gained against terrorists and out laws.
Additional IGP Headquarters Mian Muhammad Asif and Additional IGP Investigation Qudratullah Marwat also attended the conference. The participants were sensitised on duties. The police chief directed the participants to perform duties religiously and provide relief to the people, especially of the downtrodden communities.
The IGP said the performance of all SDPOs would be evaluated by a board to be headed by RPOs concerned after mid of December. A senior police officer from the CPO will also sit in this board.
The participants were urged to get conversant with the recently enacted laws to ensure that the said laws were being implemented in true letter and spirit.
