PESHAWAR: The Election Commission of Pakistan has disqualified Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Mansehra district minority member Saeed Luqman Shair Gil for violating the party discipline during the elections for district and tehsil Nazims on August 30, 2015.
Earlier, the ex Provincial President and District Councillor for Charsadda Akbar Khan Matta was also summoned by the ECP for violating party discipline in the elections for district and tehsil Nazims.
The ECP disqualified Saeed Luqman Shair Gil for violating the party discipline under the defection clause of the third amendment of Local Government Act, KP.
According to a press release issued from the PTI Provincial Secretariat, the Provincial Organiser Fazal Muhammad Khan was summoned by the Chief Election Commissioner during the hearing to represent party position and stance.
Fazal Muhammad stated in a statement, “Anyone who violates the constitution of PTI has no future in the party. Action against 57 councillors in KP ought to be an example for others.
