PESHAWAR: The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Nasir Khan Durrani, suspended junior clerk Gul Faraz and Saeed, the reader of SP Elite Force, on charges of being involved in corruption and malpractices.
The deputy commandant Elite Force has been directed to conduct departmental inquiry against the delinquent officials, says a police statement.
A junior officer of the Elite Force lodged a complaint to the IGP, alleging that the reader Saeed and junior clerk Gul Faraz were involved in illegally deduction of gratification from the pay of constables and officials.
The inquiry officer found the employees guilty of malpractices and corruption.
Meanwhile, the IGP also suspended in-charge investigation Yakatoot Police Station Sub-Inspector Waris Khan on faulty investigation in a murder case.
